About This Program
- Earn 39 Category A ECE credit from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists upon earning a passing grade of 75% on the final exam for XRAD 901 (Pending ASRT Approval) .
- Earn 31 Category A ECE credit from the American Society of Radiologic Technologists upon earning a passing grade of 75% on the final exam for XRAD 905 (Pending ASRT Approval) .
- Earn the CSUN certificate of Advanced Professional Development in MRI together with 44.5 continuing education units (CEUs), which will be recorded on their CSUN transcripts.
- May be qualified to take and pass the advanced certification examination offered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Offered in collaboration with CSUN’s College of Health & Human Development, this Advanced Professional Development certificate program, which consists of four courses – three online and one in a clinical setting – takes only one year to complete.*
The online courses focus on theory and can be completed at the student’s home or workplace. The clinical education component consists of 355 hours of educational experience in qualified clinical or hospital settings.
Applicants must show proof of successful completion of College Algebra (or equivalency) or a higher level of math preferably within the past 5 years from a regionally-accredited institution. (College Algebra at CSUN = MATH 102.)
*Taken concurrently with CSUN’s Advanced Professional Development certificate in Computed Tomography (CT), students will complete both certificates in one year. Earning the two certificates separately takes approximately two years.
