IPP Housing offers convenient, apartment-style accommodations that provide visiting students with the opportunity to live in the same on-campus community with regular university students. Students in on-campus housing become familiar with the campus more quickly, meet other students more easily and take part in the many social and recreational activities organized by both IPP Housing and CSUN housing.

Students who reside in on-campus housing are included in the IPP Meal Plan.

Each Housing Unit features:

  • Keycard access
  • On-campus security
  • Two bedrooms furnished with beds, desks and chairs
  • Living room with sofa, table and chairs
  • Private balcony
  • Dormitory refrigerator
  • Microwave oven
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Cable television access
  • Bathroom with bathtub and shower

  • Separate vanity area with two sinks and mirrors

IPP Meal Plan All students living in the dorm are required to subscribe to Meal Plan. Meal Plan price is included in the total price of housing fees. All student Dining Dollars expire at the end of their currently enrolled session, and must be used on or before the last day of the currently enrolled session. Unused balances are forfeited (lost).

IPP Meal Plan features:

  • Provides 10 meals per week in Geronimo's Cafeteria and Bamboo Terrace
  • $20.00 'Dining Dollars' each week that can be used to purchase food, drinks, and other items at different on-campus convenience stores.

Important COVID-19 Protocols

What things do I need to bring or purchase locally?
  • Bedding: sheets (size twin extra-long XL), blankets, pillows
  • Bath linens (towels, washcloths, bathmats, etc.)*
  • Personal electronic equipment (computer, stereo, television, etc.)
  • Personal toiletries
  • Cleaning supplies (brooms, mops, toilet plungers, ironing boards, vacuum cleaners, trash containers, detergents, etc.)
  • Desk lamp
  • Trash can
  • Dishes (cups, plates, forks and spoons)

NOTE: We strongly encourage all residents to acquire personal property insurance, such as renter's insurance. Renter's insurance policies can be obtained through most major insurance companies.

How are the IPP housing units configured?

All IPP housing units consist of two-bedroom apartments. Each unit's bedrooms may be occupied by one student (designated "single room" on the Housing and Meal Plan Agreement) or two students (designated "double room" on the Agreement), so that each apartment can house a minimum of two and a maximum of four students per academic session.

Each IPP housing unit has one bathroom with two sinks. If both bedrooms are occupied by one student, then two people share a bathroom. If both bedrooms are occupied by two students, then the bathroom is shared by four students.

Does Saguaro Hall have kitchen facilities?Yes. There is a common kitchen on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the building for use by the residents of each floor. Each kitchen has a refrigerator, stove and sink. Residents must supply their own cookware and utensils for use in the common kitchen.
Are laundry facilities available?Yes. There is a laundry room with coin-operated washing machines and dryers on the first floor of Saguaro Hall.
Is parking available?Yes. You will need to purchase a Student Parking Permit. Permits may be purchased at University Cash Services located in Bayramian Hall (See Campus Map). For more information on parking, visit the Parking and Transportation Service web page.
Is maid service provided by the IPP Housing Office?No. Students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms during their stay at CSUN.
May I select my own roommate?Yes. You do this by entering the name of the IPP student you wish to have as your roommate in the "Roommate Profile" in Section D of the Housing and Meal Plan Agreement.
How do I check in to gain access to my IPP housing unit?You must check in at the IPP Housing Office to receive your housing key. That office is located at 17950 Lassen Street, Northridge CA 91325 in Building #6 on the CSUN campus. Housing Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
What are the check-in and check-out dates for IPP housing?The check-in and check-out dates for each academic term are specified in Section B of the Housing and Meal Plan Agreement. Please schedule your arrival and departure times to coincide with these dates.
If I would like to arrive a few days early or postpone my departure date, can this be arranged?Early check in or late checkout may be possible when extra housing is available. Request must be made in writing to the IPP Housing office. Mail it to the address above, fax to (818) 677-2700, email ipphousing@csun.edu or visit IPP Housing office in-person.

You will need your CSUN username and password which will be provided in your Acceptance Package.  Please contact the Tseng College Admissions, Registration and Client Services (ARC) Office at iep@csun.edu if you have any questions or trouble with your CSUN username and password.

Note: The IPP Housing Office communicates primarily by email. Therefore, please be sure to provide your primary email address on your Housing and Meal Plan Application.

STEP 2

Pay your housing fee.

  • The cost of your housing will depend on the academic term you select. The cost of IPP housing for each term is indicated in Part 2 of the Housing and Meal Plan Application.

STEP 3Confirmation of your housing space will be sent to you via e-mail after you have submitted the online IPP Housing and Meal Plan Application and payment in full.
